Why don't they make (mom) cars with windows like limousines have?
A window between the driver and people in the back seat.
A window the driver could roll up that would block out the sound in the back of the car. I would pay quite a bit extra for an option like that. My kids are really loud in the car. They are talking all the time too and frequently crying, screaming, and asking me to do things for them I can't do while I am driving.

Elf on the Shelf
Last year, I read several blog post about the elf on the shelf. We have an elf, "telly" and I love this new family tradition. If you aren't familiar the general idea is Santa sends your family an elf around the beginning of December. Your family names the elf. Every night the elf goes back to the north pole and reports the kids naughty or nice behaviour to Santa. Brilliant! The elf sits in a new place everyday (i.e. you move it after the kids go to bed each night) so your child knows the elf has been to see Santa.
My dear friend Cherie (Cherie of the Fabulous Carrot Cake) asked me a question a few days ago: "Do I have to put lemon in EVERYTHING to be part of your club??" LOL!!
Point taken, Cherie! I am a bit of a lemon addict, aren't I? I guess I'm just getting it all out of my system, before the days of spices, pumpkin, apples, and chocolate move in permanently. Well, this one is for Cherie, and any other not-so-much-lemon fans out there! I hope you like it! It's great for delivering to new neighbors... :)
I e-met Jacinda when she and I did a blog swap several weeks ago. We bonded immediately and we look forward to meeting in person one day (is she totally coocoo or what?!?). Jacinda is very talented and I can't say enough about her kind heart.
Hi! I'm Jacinda. Since I've been around here the last few weeks sharing sewing tutorials with you, Amanda wanted me to tell you a little more about myself.
Most people dread Sunday night. Not me! I don't like Fridays.
Sunday Friday Night Depression
I'm so excited on Sunday nights! Why? My nanny is returning on Monday and I've just spent the whole weekend (alone) with my husband and children. My husband is a VERY HARD WORKER and he would like to relax a little on the weekends (what the hell is wrong with him?), play with our kids, and work in the yard. Also, my husband has his own idea about how and when to do things with our family and my dear, sweet nanny just does what I ask her to do. Seriously, how could it get any better?
{Mom, click on any of these pictures and you will be taken directly to the site}

Scones, scones, wonderful scones. Tell me, when you think of British Food, what's the first thing that comes to mind?? For me, it is always either crumpets or scones. (I don't know how to make crumpets... yet) Maybe that's why scones have been one of my favorite goodies for as long as I can remember. Maybe it's their semi-biscuity texture and light sweetness. Who knows, but I adore them, and always will. By the way, I am making a concerted effort, for my readers and my chocoholic husband, to find more deep, dark, delicious chocolatey recipes.
How taking care of five young children kept me sane during a totally insane time
meet my kids coocoo cousins (my niece and nephew)
My brother celebrated his tenth anniversary recently and I offered to keep his kids so he and his wife{my dear, sweet sister-in-law} could go away for a few days alone. I love my niece and nephew like they were my own children. I don't get to spend a lot of time with them so I really enjoyed our time together.
Hello, CooCoo readers! Jacinda from yellowcloth here. Today I'm going to show you how to make the greatest toiletry bag ever. This is a good sewing project for the confident beginner.
My family is flying home from what's suppose to be a vacation in Florida. It's been a VERY LONG DAY because we are on the late flight out in order to save $500. I am traveling with my husband and our three children (ages four, three, and just turned one). Clearly, its not that much of a vacation. My husband and I are seated across the aisle from one another and we each have one of our boys with us. My daughter (our one year old) is primarily sitting with me but there is only so much I can take in 18 inches of space so my husband and I pass her back and forth when I need a break.
I've been intimidated by the Chevron Stripe for months now. Because I am dumb To help conquer this fear, I offered to make Superstar a Chevron Pallet Sign for her annual Halloween party.
*Update-I know how to paint a chevron stripe now!!! See my detailed, easy to understand tutorial here
How to Paint A Chevron Stripe {I don't freakin' know}
Painting the Chevron Stripe on this pallet was the hardest craft project I've ever done. the. hardest. ever. If you ever see a Chevron painting tutorial that says something like, "easy" or "simple" those people are lying, as in they are freaking liars!!!
