Land of Nod
This week I’ve joined a team of 10 Amazing bloggers on a knockoff tour!
You are going to see home decor items from stores you love (Anthropologie, Ballard Designs, and Pottery Barn Teen – just to name a few…). My friends and I are going to recreate popular items on a DIY kind of budget!
Today, I am going to show you my dollhouse – bookcase knockoff from The Land of Nod.
As soon as I had a daughter I knew I wanted her to have a dollhouse. I fell in love with the The Land of Nod bookcase – dollhouse but it was a bit out of my budget.
I love the versatility of this dollhouse! My daughter may not want to play with dolls forever but she’ll have toys and books for many, many years to come.
My mom bought this dollhouse secondhand for my daughter’s birthday. It cost about $40.
There were some flaws with the dollhouse
but overall the bones were good and…
Emmaline loved it right away!
I’m coocoo for color so I used my homemade chalk paint recipes and painted the dollhouse blue – oops green and pink.
I thought about removing the door to the dollhouse but it generally looks like this…
so a closed door is best for a coocoo momma!
Have you thought about creating a knockoff before? What stores do you love that are sometimes a bit beyond the budget?
Check out my friends amazing knockoff creations! You’ll be inspired!!!
