Fabric USA Map
This post with video will show you how to make a fabric USA map. Although it’s a lot of work a fabric map is a great way to use up your fabric remnants!
Today I am joining a group of talented bloggers to show you our pinterest knockoffs. Click here to follow me on pinterest and make sure you check out all of the amazing knockoffs at the end of this post.
My USA map was inspired by these maps on pinterest.
I bought this map and the tracing and cutting began.
Nanny, the kids, and I traced and cut out each state.
Then I traced each state onto the wrong side of the fabric.
I cut out each state and
drank a lot of wine attached it to Wonder-Under.
Then I placed each fabric state on the map
because I have no idea where most states are.
I then attached (with Wonder Under) each fabric state to a large piece of denim.
Here is the completed map ready to be hand sewn.
At this point, I
drank more wine used a small hoop and began hand-stitching around each state.
Stitching and stitching.
And still more stitching until I worked my way around each state.
You could display your fabric map many different ways.
When I was finished I stretched the denim over a large canvas.
